If you want to be successful in business, please understand what I mean by technical writing. These are the types of writers who can assist in the development or innovation of your promotional materials like brochures and other documents. You need a great source for understanding technical writing, too. You need to know what to expect from a technical writer when you sort through a wide variety of bids and proposals to conduct your technical writing.
Let’s face it. You may need someone to write grants or script out a proposal or presentation at one point in the life of your business. As you grow, you may also need a writer who can craft your annual reports and advertising campaigns. The average small business cannot afford to hire an advertising agency. You need to get familiar with the whole scope of technical writing and what technical writers are able to do for you, then start taking some bids and reviewing some proposals for a small scale project to test the waters once you are ready. That will work to your advantage when you hit it big time.
